Personalised Care Rooted in Tradition

With a focus on root-cause healing, Sara offers integrative treatments that go beyond symptom relief to restore balance and wellbeing.

Acupuncture is a well-established therapy within traditional East Asian medicine, widely recognised for its ability to support health and wellbeing. It involves the gentle insertion of fine, sterile, single-use needles into specific points on the body to help regulate the flow of Qi (vital energy), relieve pain, and address a wide range of physical and emotional concerns.

In addition to supporting recovery, acupuncture may assist in maintaining general wellbeing and promoting the body’s natural capacity to prevent illness.

Moxibustion, or moxa, is a traditional herbal heat therapy that uses dried mugwort (Artemisia) to gently warm specific acupuncture points. Practised for centuries, often predating acupuncture, this technique supports circulation, nourishes Qi (vital energy), and promotes the body’s natural healing response.

In Japanese moxibustion, small amounts of finely prepared mugwort are carefully burned on or near the skin to create a deep, soothing warmth. This gentle stimulation relaxes the fascial network, calms the nervous system, and supports a wide range of physical and emotional conditions—all without discomfort.

For those who prefer a needle-free approach, moxibustion offers a gentle yet deeply effective way to restore harmony and promote healing.

Currently Sara is the only practitioner practicing Kinseikyu in Victoria. Kinseikyu combines the benefits of moxibustion with targeted techniques to enhance posture and body alignment. This therapy focuses on the myo-fascial planes (the connective tissues supporting muscles) and traditional medicine channels, helping to improve posture and restore balance to the body. Kinseikyu is particularly beneficial for those looking to address physical imbalances and achieve overall well-being.

Shonishin is a specialised Japanese acupuncture technique tailored for children. It uses light, non-invasive tools to stimulate acupuncture points without needles. This gentle approach is designed to support a child’s health, offering a safe and calming treatment that is both effective and comforting for young patients.

Cupping is an ancient therapeutic practice that utilizes special cups to create suction on the skin, promoting a sense of relaxation and well-being. It can be used as a standalone treatment or combined with other modalities.

With its soothing effects and potential benefits, cupping offers a revitalizing experience.
